-Hui Lcdr. Carson D. Cox Lieutenant Commander Cox now serves as the Operations Offi- cer aboard USS MEYERKORD, since reporting in September of 1983. Mr. Cox received his commission on November 1, 1974442113: graduating from Oklahoma Baptist Llniversity with a degree xr. Political Science and Sociology. Lcdr Cox received his Nlasters Degree in 1982 from National University, majoring in Business Administration. Lcdr Cox heads up one of the most important departments aboard MEYERKORD with a total of 57 people under his direc- tion. He is responsible for OC, OI, OE and OM divisions, Mr. Cost is also the Top Secret Control Officer and Security Manager aboard MEYERKORD. Past commands of Lcdr Cox's have included the ESS ALA- MOQLSD-33j, where he served as Main Propulsion Assistant: the Staff of Commander Amphilbious Squadron Seven. where he served as the Assistant Material and Logistics Officer: and DEP- COMOPTEVFORPAC where he was the Operation Test Director. Lcdr Cox is a qualified Officer of the DecktOODl, Command Duty' OfficertCDOl and a Tactical Action Officer lTAOi aboard MEYERKORD. Gillingham Lieutenant Gillingham serves MEYERKORD as its Chief Engi- neer and the Senior Watch Officer. As the Chief Engineer. Nir. Gillingham is responsible for the divisions of M. B. ASE and R. with a total personnel of 100 under his command. Lt. Gillingham received his Bachelors Degree from the l'niyer- sity' of California. Riverside in 1975, majoring in Biology, He continued his education at the University' of Southern California and hc rcccivcd his Masters in 1981. Mr. Gillingham was commis- sioned in thc United States Navy in December of 1975. Before coming to MEYERKORD. Lt. Gillingham attended thc Surface Warfare Officers School and thc ASKK' School, he also serxed three years aboard thc USS O'CfXl.l,i-XlrlfXN.tl l3-10513, as thc XSW Officer, Mr, Gillingham attcndcd the Department Head School shortly' reporting to MEYERKORD.
