Studio H METZ HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUMO On the second week of school the following basketball 'sQU3d reported to Coech Heatherly and continued to report for regular Pf3Ct tice on Mondayss Wednesdaysg and Fridays, Gere Johnson, Doris Lil9Sa Marjorie Foreman, Cyneth Johnson, Edith Charles, Ruby Westerhold, Betty McNeese9 Margery Rinehart, Joyce Christy, Ruth Myers, Margaret Morriss 'Alice Mae Liles, Margie Longebaugh, L Mary Francis Rider, Margaret Harryman,lMavene Jenkins and Dean McGinnis. my i'Seven of these girls lettered last year and nine of them lettered this year. Cut of the twelve games played they were only victorious three times. lhsy defeated Schell City twiceand Sheldon once.lf l L A . They entered the annual basketball tournament held at Nevada, Missouri on February l and played their first game with Walker in which they were defeated. Then on Friday the girls played Bronaugh and were again defeated? which eliminated them from the tournament. lwo of the first team slayers will graduate this years Doris Liles and Meera: Johnsono' If C This season as well as the past season has been filled with much enthusiasm9 fung and excitemente We sincerely hope lthat ,the SMC- ceeding teams will be more successful. It appears that his Uncle Epson had been a real sport at heart, but had never had the opportunity to be sporty, and his will provides that Sigmund and Amantha must live as he would have liked to liveg to entertain very lavishly travel and spend money. Siggie is too absent-minded and too much interested in his Stars to do much of anything else, so everything is left to Amantha She surrounds herself with young servants. A group of movie stars are now on the scene to make a film in the old castle, and right on the heels of everything else comes Muggs, a burglar looking for jewelso Somehow or other the heavenly stars, and the picture stars get all tangled up with each other, and on top of that, when Muggs makes a haul of a valuable pearl necklace, everything goes wrong , and it is not straightened out until two bewildered officers of the law take a hand in its T ' 1----1 +V -'---A 4.
