Nfslml PU 3 5 El 5 yi? hwy J U N I O R - S E N I O R T R I P A group of students composed of six seniors, twelve juniors, three sophomores, and six freshmen, all of Metz High School boarded a bus enroute for Eureka Springs, Arkansas at 5:00 A. M. Saturday , April 20. . We rode south until we reached JasperQfMo. and then stopped for a rest and a bite of breakfast. We rode until we were compelled to stop again, due to engine trouble. We stopped at Carthage, Mo. for a period of about thirty minutes and from there we rode through Neosho, and continued our journey southward to Noel, Missouri, and stopped at Bluff Swellers Cave. .W we rode through Sulphur Springs enroute to Rogers. Arkansas. We made another stop at Inspiration Point and then drove to Eureka Springs. From Eureka we went to Berryville and stopped for a stretch. Then we journeyed to Green Forest, where 'we stopped a short time for lunch. we then boarded the bus for Rockaway Beach. At this place we enjoyed the scenery, boat rides, and we also ate supper there. .we steyed there until about six-thirty and then rode straight through to Springfield, Mo. where we stayed for a period of about two hours. 'We went through Ash Grove,-Greenfield. and Golden City, and then we stopped at Lamar where we ate a light lunch. We rode through Nevada and reached Metz about twelve thirty. ' At this point we climbed out of the bus, having ridden about 450 miles since morning. All of us enjoyed a very nice time. This trip was one to which many had looked forward fort many weeks.
