BUARD DF EDUCATION The school Board is intensely interested in evaluating the entire educational program and developing ways and means of improving curricula so that our academic students will be able to meet competition for entrance to colleges of their choiceg commercial students will be eminently qualified to enter the business worldg and the general students will be sufficiently equipped for successful job placements. The Board of Education will continue to make every effort to improve the Metuchen School System. The recent approval of a plan to compensate teachers to scale enables Metuchen to attract fine competent instructional addition to the many in- spired, and dedicated teachers presently in our system. The progress of our new high school is followed eagerly and hopefully for its scheduled opening in September of 1958.
