The mens team consists of fourteen players, one manager, and one coac . The season started on low with loses to South Moun- tain, Westwood, and Central. But Coach Ebert was al- ways optimistic, 4'They're enthusiastic, I enjoy coach- ing them and feel all of us have learned. Outstanding players were David Stoffan, Tim Bermudez, Mike lemming, Eric Beutler, and Henry Price. The practiced from the beginning of the season CDec. 505 dilligently from 2:00 - 4:30 every day. Some things practiced were ball handling drills, zone offen- sive drills, defensive drills, and a ot of man to man. They used a transition offense, much like A.S.U.'s Thety also used a man to man defense and various other o - fenses. We try to keep the other team off balance, Coach Ebert explained. Coach Ebert as been at M.H.S. for four years as a counselor and this is his first year at coaching. He felt the only problem he had was the initial cuttincg of lay- ers, which was hard for everyone, he sai .
