They Spurred You! IN CHARGE OF making your school a better institution was the student council. Composed of 16 members, they acted as the buffer between you, the students, and the administration. When any of you had a complaint you talked to a council representative so that it could be brought up at one of their weekly meetings. You all remember the successful assemblies spon- sored by the student council. The suggestion box was opened in an assembly so that the council could discuss the suggestions openly with you. Douglas, Arizona, was the scene of the student council convention. Student officers from all over the state discussed their ideas and problems. This group was also in charge of the car cavalcade to Glendale and they headed the football team send- off to Santa Barbara, California. You have seen your student council in action. They deserve a vote of thanks for a iob well done. .IODY HENDERSON Secretary Twenty-three S PAUL KUHN President DENNA PHELPS Vice President mfw IU! Xi x D ' a 'tb
