SHIRLEY HELEN MOFFAT Mathematics Home Economics Home Economics Home Economics Librarian They Trained You For The Future ATOMS AND MOLECULES! Those were two things you who were science students heard about constantly in Chemistry and physics. You probably heard about them in biology, too, but your main studies there concerned insects, worms and frogs. Four years of math were offered to you who were interested. There were two years of algebra, one year of geometry and a semester each of trigonometry and solid geometry. There were several courses in homemaking offered to you future homemakers. One semester of sewing and one semester of cooking was required, but there were additional classes in each of these plus classes in Hazel MacDonald -librarian home furnishings and child guidance. Probably the one place visited by everyone of you students, at least once during the year, was the library. Your visits there were either for the entertainment you got from books or for digging out information There to helpiyou find that most exciting book or locate that much needed information for your re- search papers were the librarians. One department at Mesa High that not many of you students knew much about was the photography lab. The boys and their director were the ones respon- sible for getting most of the pictures for your yearbook and paper, as well as printing the school magazine.
