The Record Keepers THE NUMEROUS TIMES you were in and out of the office this year you certainly saw all the work there was to do trying to keep your school on an even keel and keep it running smoothly. The office staff was kept busy every minute, day in and day out, performing many tasks of importance to you and your school. Mr. Kramer, your registrar, was assisted by Mrs. Adair and later by Mrs. Mortensen. They were always encouraging you to think about college early so that you could be prepared. Their task was the never ending one of averaging grades, keeping them up to date, and helping those of you who needed a scholarship apply for one. Your attendance clerks were always busy checking your daily attendance and recording it, making out ab- sence slips, and filing your excuses. lt was here you received those little pink and blue slips. Your school receptionist's iob was to greet all those who visited your school daily. She also placed the many calls that were made to keep your school running smoothly. Students iam the attendance office to get their A , B ,or D excuses before they begin the day's work. Fourteen

They Assisted You Q 2 OF COURSE you remember your counselors of the past X 1 year-Mr. Carl Heath and Miss Katherine Bowen. Both Mr. Heath and Miss Bowen added much to your school year 1955-56. The two counselors not only helped solve many of your problems but they also sponsored clubs and worked on many of your school activities. Miss Bowen had a very busy year helping your Girls' League Council. Don't think she didn't have fun during twirp week watching you girls take the mas- culine role. Do you remember how much she looked like a little girl with braids and her short skirt at the All Girls' Party? She had as much fun as you did after working so hard to make it a success. GAVIN HUMPHREY Assistant Principal You must have observed how hard Mr. Heath worked with the boys in Boys' League to make your WWW-w-,Ms-.M--M Christmas Formal something to remember. You also saw Mr. Heath helping out the boys of Key Club in their various proiects of service to the school, such as the painting of the trash cans in your school colors.
