Military Academy, 1923 B.S. in C.E., University of Iowa, 1932 M. in Engr., Yale University, 1944 Professor, Civil Engineering With the rapici growth of industry in this country in the past few years, there has arisen a great need for technically trained men and women who are capable of putting to practical use all the new scien- tific discoveries. With this demand for engineers in mind, Merrimack College established a Division of Engineering in the fall of 1951. Since that time, the engineering division has grown by leaps and bounds and now courses are offered in both Civil and Electrical En- gineering. Because Merrimack is also a Liberal Arts College, the humanities are not forgotten and each aspirant engineer is required to elect courses in the fields of Philosophy, History and English as well as courses in Physics, Mathematics and the many and varied engineering subjects.
