His coming spearheaded a campaign which shook the very foundations of the organization. Mr. Pepis spirit manifested itself in the teamwork of the G.A.A. Board and Block M Society which produced these accomplishments: revising the points systemg staging the deafening noon ralliesg stimulating the largest game attendance in Mercy's history, setting the campus in order and serving after-game refreshmentsg inspiring the magnificent leadership of the sports managers. Inspired by a surging attendance at inter-school games, Mercy's volleyball varsity out-tallied two of three teams: October 17 St. Peter's Academy 27-24 October 28 St. Paul's High School 13-31 November 21 Mercy, Burlingame 6-59 The Class of '60 seized the intramural champion- ship for the second successive year by downing l wi Let me hear you - Mary came, too. freshmen and juniors, and toppling the aging seniors in a 35-22 win. Laurel winners: Maureen Charcho, captain, Joanne Winters, Irene Carter, Carole Montaldo, Karen Elbeck, Terry O'Connor, Agnes De Georgey, Kathy Poston, Nancy Donovan, Kathy Kilgariff and Vicki Cameron.
