il Q7 CLASS PRESIDENT Pat Fullendorf, who represents seniors on the Student Council, is assisted in her work by Roberta Terkelson, vice president. class of 1958 CHIEF IEXECLTTIVES in their own spheres, senior section presidents meet frequently to plan the smooth functioning of class projects in their sections. Seated: jean Connelly, Claire Doyle. Slunding: Margo Warnick, Maureen Daly, and Vickie Faenzi. Q7 Dear Mercy students and faculty, For the third year in its history the Mercy family approaches commencement. Now we in the class of '58, who watched our big sisters among the Pioneers with awe and admiration on a June night two years ago, claim this june and this commencement as very specially our own. Looking back on our high school career we know we have been enriched in countless ways. We are now the fortunate trustees of a Catholic education, invaluable to us because it embraces all fields leading to Truth. But not all of our education has come from textbooks and studies. Wfhat senior can forget the glow of pride she felt when we conducted our first school assembly on our own? Who will forget our first class dance, Carousel, or that night of cherry blossom magic in our junior year, Oyasuminasai? None can count the graces bestowed on us during the quiet days of retreat but many of us trace Christ's call to a hushed moment before Him in the chapel. How many times we cheered ourselves hoarse at a varsity game or laughed 'til we cried over a rollicking skit at a feastday program! We may not have known it then, but we realize now that every event, every trouble or triumph, every cherished friendship was a thread in the bright fabric of our high school education. That is why we seniors are so very grateful to each one of you at Mercy. You were our education, for what we are is what we have become from being with you. It is diflicult to bid goodbye to school and friends we've known so well. It is easier to say thank you- to all of you who have made possible our June night. With best wishes, 17.-FI
