Occasionally Kathe would race upstairs to develop a much-needed neg, meeting Jean and Sue on route as they roamed the building taking a poll of student opinions. During the year the staff was privileged to meet Bishop Sheen and cover the profession ceremony of the Sisters of Mercy at which he officiated. By means of a survey they aided the student council in JEAN PARRINELLO Assistant Editor KATHE McDONNELL Assistant Editor Q CLAIRE COOK JULIE DRISCOLL MARY SCHMIEDEL Business SUE MIFSUD Assistant Editor determining section reactions to a proposed school ring and widened students' horizons by interviewing professional workers in different fields: a laboratory technician, a department store buyer, a newspaper editor, and the administration of a school for the handicapped. Ground-breaking for the neighboring Merced Branch of the San Francisco Public Library prompted a local feature, one of the many by which the staff promoted community relations.
