o lBACK ROWJ Coach Dan Absher Sam Davison Chris Bailey, Eric Ensey, Matt Lumberg, Manager Dale Kunkel. CBOTTOM ROW? Kelly Price, Davi Boys' JV Basketball HILD' hey may look like kids. They may act immature. But, when it comes to the game of basketball, these boys play like men. The i985-86 Boys' Junior Varsity Basketball team certainly acted more than their age while on the court. These precocious heirs to the great Ml hoop tradition promised good things for the future with their play now. The young squad, composed of six juniors, two sophomores, and two freshmen, possessed great size and rebounding ability. Ml boasted a stingy defense, which naturally led CABOVEP Eric Ensey, 534, rises above the crowd to score for two more. ENZ , the rest of the team yells to him. lBELOWl Freshman Bobby Hopkins flys through his junior defenders on his way to the hoop. PLAY? to quite a few close games. Of course, the poised Islanders snatched victory from most such contests. They're good competitors, praises Coach Dan Absher. They play better under pressure. Led by such standout players as Joey Turk lscoringl and Chris Bailey Creboundingl, this year's JV team should combine with a young varsity squad to dominate KingCo competition for years to come. Like David Bowie said, they just wanna dance with the big boys. So watch out!
