Girls Tennis KNIP-KNOP fter school, they slide into their Adidas sweats, grab their Head graphite rackets, and head down to the North tennis courts, only to spend the next twenty minutes on the bleachers, waiting for Coach Geoff Mills to arrive. At that time, they choose partners and begin to hit flat balls which the coach has retained from the beginning of the '68 season. Yes, they are still here. Even though the team did not reach Varsity Football status with the fans, the l985 Girls Tennis team had the same record: undefeated. With Kristin Hudson as their team captain, the ninety-two players of,Ml swept the KingCo League with flying colors. Mr. Jack Dills, the Boys Tennis coach, even had to come and help Mr. Mills because of the size of the squad. One did not feel that certain tingle just before something exciting happens All the matches consisted of two o four people knocking a tennis ball around and complimenting each other on nicely hit shots. But, what can one expect from a team that has not lost in a year? To them, each match must be like a game o tiddly-winks! The team, however, deserves abundant praise for its efforts. Yea after year, despite a lack of due recognition, Ml Girls Tennis brings back championship banners for th gym. Their games produce more than just wins. H it:.::w.-Pwr. rin sr-NSZSQRE .tests .
