Girls Tennis KNIP-KNOP fter school, they slide into their Adidas sweats, grab their Head graphite rackets, and head down to the North tennis courts, only to spend the next twenty minutes on the bleachers, waiting for Coach Geoff Mills to arrive. At that time, they choose partners and begin to hit flat balls which the coach has retained from the beginning of the '68 season. Yes, they are still here. Even though the team did not reach Varsity Football status with the fans, the l985 Girls Tennis team had the same record: undefeated. With Kristin Hudson as their team captain, the ninety-two players of,Ml swept the KingCo League with flying colors. Mr. Jack Dills, the Boys Tennis coach, even had to come and help Mr. Mills because of the size of the squad. The seniors on the team-Joy Bittner, Michele Coleman, Laura Dunner, Kim Hodge, Kim Keller, Amie Pederson, Stephanie Stowell, and Hudson-led the team to victory after victory, Hey, dude, let's go kick some-- l This phrase, used quite often by the girls, struck fear and panic into their opponents. But, what can one expect from a team that has not lost in a year? To them, each match must be like a game o tiddly-winks! The team, however, deserves abundant praise for its efforts.
