Drill Team SHCW 81 . XTRAI EXTRA! Read all about it! The inquiring minds ot the ISLA staff have learned that the much-heralded members ofthe Ml Drill Team are in fact involved in an act of deception. Mercer lsland's so- called small-time dancing group has seemingly reached a stage far beyond that of ordinary dance routines. According to our sources, the i985-86 Islander Drill Team now doubles for the Solid Gold dancers! No further information is available. ISLA will keep everyone posted. Actually, this is a bit of a dramatization, but the temptresses of Ml probably could take over as the Solid Gold dancers if they so This year's team is exceptional. Like the dancers at Solid Gold, they demonstrate style and unity. But, best of all, they perform superbly, shapely young things showing instead of telling their stuff to a crowd of drooling hormones. Not at alll This year's squad worked hard to reach their high level of success and professional showmanship. Besides, what would one rather do during assemblies?
