The Senior class realized their fantasy as they swept all but two of the homecoming competitions. These wins led the class of '85 to victory, making them the first class ever to win homecoming two years in a row. The Juniors kept the pressure on, coming in a close second, while the sophomores and freshmen battled for third. Many teachers enthusiastically commented on this years' posters and floats, saying, their quality was unusually high. The winning float of the class of '85, a dragon, was unique in that it was powered by human endurance rather than automotive pull. The Senior's mural was also tradition-breaking as it was painted on the west wall instead of the east.
