Foreign and American Students around the High School found the opportunity to malze new friends and explore other cultures and societies in the International Club. The club meets every Tuesday to plan activities with other International Clubs in the Seattle area. Club members had the opportunity to experience each other's cultures, societies and ideas, a well- rounding experience. This year, for the second year, the club organized International week, where exchange students from all over the state come and visit each other and Mercer Island. The success of the club is largely due to the efforts of M r. Fruend, advisor. Mr. Fruend feels that, because the club brings together many different nations the club promotes understanding of cultures and ideas not your own. SPCTLIGI-IT Curt Dawson former exchange student said about the International Club, exchange year is a great growing exper with other exchange students adds even greater depth to the year I thmlc this is the purpose of the International Club and I think it does this well Y 7 ' ' An ience.
