Dear Reader, For the fourth year in a row, I have the urge to complain about all the things which did not go right in the production of this book. But why bother? VVhy not take the same laissez-faire attitude that many of the students and faculty take towards the book and anything con- nected with its production? Instead, I ld like to say thanks to a few people who were always there, who always had a kind word. Thanks to Barbara Milne and Bill Berman who knew who to call and where to go, thanks to Mary Weir andthe Registrarls Office staff who ,helped in the mountains of paper- work necessary for composing the graduates and directory sections, thanks to Mary Scarano who did a little of everything for us and al- ways had a ready smile, thanks to Dave Collier and the SAIC for their continued support and belief in the value of a book like this. And thanks to anybody who showed any co-operation or encouragement. First and foremost, congratulations to the class of '75, Mercerls gift to the world. Theodore Otten, Faculty Advisor Well, gang, we did it! And I think the ,75 VIKING is the best ever produced. My deepest thanks to Sue Bahm, Estelle, Bruce, Ginny and Terri who did layouts and copy. The pictures can be credited mostly to Paul Faloona and Dave Fair, but Ivory Jackson was on hand for his fourth year with an ever-ready camera. Some of the staff members were friends from other years who pitched in: Ernie Algazi who re- turned from Israel, and Bill Austin whose Pinto we practically wore out. VVhat better way to meet people than by an activity like this one. Being editor taught me a lot, gave me many new friends, hundreds of acquaintences and a few enemies. I learned something from them all. As I turn in my key to SC2I2 for the last time, I can honestly say thank you, I love you all. Farewell editorship, I knew it all too well!
