- e-v- 1-- u-L ofzewow As Father Time sums up the tremendous events of the past fifty years he must smile as he compares our huge, air-conditioned, beautifully designed and landscaped houses of learning with the little red brick country school of fifty years ago. Could the boys and girls of the l900's have visioned the auto, the airplane, radio, television? No-just as we, standing on the threshold of the Half Century, cannot vision all the wonderful, exciting things ahead of us for the next fifty years. Let's roll back the curtain of Time and look in on us as junior high students. There's something magic and grownup about the words after spending six long, long years in the lower grades. Then, suddenly we're in high school-Freshmen-a little scared-proud and important, with a feel- ing that we've arrived. Sophomores and Juniors-the in between years of our high school days are packed full of interesting events, disappointment, wonderfully exciting days, but always there looms the proud day when we are the ones on Top,-Seniors at last. Then comes the fleeting year that seems to be racing away from us. No, we can't be graduating already. Not we, who only last week, or was it yesterday, were starting this four-year journey. Now it's graduation night and memories come flooding in-cherished ones that we can lock in our hearts for keeps. We realize that too soon it's all over. Tomorrow we'll go our separate ways alone and yet with a bond that unites us of Mentor High, forever. And so, as Father Time is recording this special l95O edition of our Mentor High School, let's peek over his shoulder and read what he has written about you and me as Time Marches On. four
