Foreword La---deez and gentleme-n! Step right up! Presenting the worId's most colossal show! Yes-sir--ee! Five performances weekly! Six big rings! Over five hundred performers! Sideshows! Main at- tractions! And it's all for you, ladies and gentlemen, it's all for you. All the bustle, the ballyhoo, the heartbreaks of any cir- cus make up the years of our lives spent under the big top of Mentor High. The center pole is comparable to the high ideals and traditions of our school around which are built the thousand and one acts witnessed by 'our audience, the com- munity. We are playing for them and we must never let them down by presenting a slipshod act. We all start as ap- prentices but as we work our way up the ladder to the star positions we begin to realize that these are only the prelimi- naries, that we are preparing ourselves for the feature per- formances, for the big time, and that we must be well-trained. Every circus has its souvenir program and this annual is yours-presenting the Big Show of 1947!

Dedication On the twenty-fifth annive-rsary of Mentor High School, we, the seniors of I947, dedicate this annual to the past and to the future. We challenge you, who are to come, to uphold the stand- ards of the past-responsibility, help- fulness, industry, courtesy, loyalty-and to remember that come what may, The Show Must Go On!
