After preparing for school I turn on the radio and hear someone yelling, They're pourin' 'em tall this morning! Broke the hundred yard dash sprinting to the streamlined school wagon. Walked into my homeroom in time to hear our own Mr. Crownover conduct devotions. Went to study hall in the commercial room. Nothing happened except that Miss Nason Calmly reprimended the typists for their weird posture. Went to my second-string study hall in Room 2 where everything went off in fine style. Went down the steps two at a time to chemistry class, but got side-tracked at the bottom by Mr. Roddy, who unceremoniously gave me a lecture on how to descend the steps. I then proceeded to the lab where I encountered a huge green cloud. QMr. Houser experimenting againl. Went to English class where Mrs. Allison took time out to correct Harry concerning the use of the word Ain't . Heard an old familiar sound that told me class was over, soldashed down the stairs and through the hall only to wait halfanhour for lunch, because almost everyone in the whole school decided to stay for turkey. The slow, pokey greenhorns were still going through the chow line. Finally ate my lunch and hustled up the stairs, only to find when I got to the royal room of the seniors that I had County Band practice downstairs in the music room. Ran down the steps, but late for band again. When I got to the room, Music- ian Meyer said, That's all for today. Ran up the stairs, two at a time, through the hall and started up the second flight only to see a glaring pair of eyes watching me. Those eyes belong to Mr. Treaster, so I thought I had better slow down. Hence I was late for my first class. Went to P.O.D. class where our dear brother Esh got called down for wise- cracking to his pal, Bill. Then peace reigned again and our minds labored 011. Occupied home room for B.A. class. Drew lines from one dot to another to form what Mrs. Fleming called a graph. Test Tomorrow. Study hall--Harry, Bill, and I finished our math assigment, then swapped fishing stories. Found worm angling far more thrilling than triangling. There's the dismissal bell! Grabbed my coat and hit the bottom, landing with a resounding thud. Phew! One more of the 180 days gone!
