if 4 , 99 im-f To jump into the shoes of the graduating Seniors, Menlo has a fine group of Frosh- Soph runners-Bruce Dudley, Kelly McKnight, Ray Pijma, Mike Flicks, Flick Moen, and Ross Smith. If this group improves as much as the coach thinks they vvill, then Menlo should have another fine team next year.

The team then managed to place sixth out of ten in Region IV which was quite a showing against the big schools . The Soccer team this year enjoyed its best season ever. They earned a near undefeated record of ten wins, one loss, and four ties. Of course the team won the first League Soccer Championship in Menlo History. To many players, this year has been a culmination of four hard years to put Menlo Soccer on the top. The sport, with its fast-moving, fluid, and artful action, is finally beginning to get the attention it deserves.
