But it was far from that. Most of the schools on the schedule were big pub- lic schools with personnel that Menlo couldn't match. In spite of this, the team never let down. Their two best games were against their two toughest teams, which they lost to by only a few points. The Junior Varsity team's pur- pose is to be a training ground for the Varsity.
