Bannettel lL Lemmonl Q 1847 - 1947 These dates comprise a century ot untiring, selfless devotion in the Christian Education of American youth. This devotion has been little noted by the world, the works which are its expression have not been trumpeted on the winds, the men whose lives were spent therein have passed unknown to many. But, that devotion is gloriously written in a better world, the value of its deeds is voiced in the living characters they have formed, and the heroes of its drama will ever live in the memory of its beneficiaries. Among these grateful souls stand out some whom admiration for their teachers lecl to imitation of their lives. To these Menard Alumni who are now Brothers ot the Sacred Heart, and who are the living expression ot the appreciation and gratitude of all Menardians tor the work of the Brothers, we respectfully and admiringly dedicate this volume ot THE MENARDIAN 0 1847 - 1947 Bro.
