McHughes Patrick Harrington OPHOMORE CLASS OFFICER During the past scholastic year the Sophomore Class gave good account of itself, both infits individual representatives and in class activities. This group of boys embody all that we have come to think of the American bay-character, competitive spirit, class honor, loyal- ty, scholastic alertness, and mischief. A large number of Sophomores belong to the Sodality, the Altar Boy Society and to the Band. The greater number of the class partakes in sports either on the Varsity or on the junior teams. Our class took second place in the intra-mural track meet, being outdone only by the Senior class. ln scholastic duties our officers are, in- deed, our leaders. Emeric Mayeux merited the medals for English and Algebra, Lionel Gravel was awarded the Perfect Attendance medal, Lee McHughes won the Religion award, and Pat Harrington received the honor medal in History. James Ketchum and Leon De Bellevue are the linguists of the class: they merited the Latin and Spanish medals respec- tively.2 Lee McHughes and James Ketchum were the Sophomore Honor Students for the year.
