GHANCERY QFFICE 1805 JACKSON AVENUE ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA March 14, l944. Rev. Brother Jerome Menard Memorial High School Alexandria, La. Dear Brother Jerome: The approach of the Golden Jubilee of the Menard School arouses my interest. Certainly these five decades have been Golden years. I am proud of the record. Menard School now, at this present moment, enjoys a very enviable standard. I am well informed as to the curric- ulum of the school and in particular of the spirit of scholastic endeavor which exists among our student body. It was indeed a happy arrangement to introduce the atmos- phere of the Military Campus into our school. The recent review which I made of our marching boys was a source of edification to me. It stands to reason that the introduction of the spirit of military discipline and the esprit de corps of a Military Unit is bound to rebound in a wholesome way to our student body. I am very hopeful that the oncoming years will record new triumphs for Menard not only in the field of business and the professions, but also in the ranks of our consecrated men in religion. Our hopes are high. We have every reason to expect that our boys will turn out to be a credit to their Homes, the Church and to our Country. Sincerely yours in Christ, 7L ,p ,,,,,,,g,,a i7.,UE.....,.x- Bishop of Alexandria.
