Conway, Chaplain. is the motto of the Boy Scouts of America. Menard believes in preparing its students for an active citizen- ship, and we know of no better means than through the Boy Scout movement. Hence, under the spirited leadership of Mr. E. L. Gremillion, scout master, Troop 9 was organized last year. At present the troop flourishes. lt is one of the most active in the whole Attakapas Council area, as witnessed by the many calls rnade upon it this year, by the city of Alexandria: parades, football ushering, flag- raising, street patrol duty, etc. Menard's Scouts, Troop 9 opened National Scout Week with a pro gram over the local station KALB
