A SANDWICH SALE UPPER: THE VENETIAN BLINDS BOTTOM1 MOTHERS' CLUB AT MEETING Q08 jdgif mofkers but especially Menard mothers, Diary! The whole school-building has taken on a more refined atmosphere due to the generosity of these devoted ladies, when they footed the bill for a set of Venetian blinds for each window in the -school. Menardians frequently were afforded the rare opportunity of a home-cooked hot lunch right on the school grounds, this past yea r, and often had the privilege of being chaperoned by their dear mothers at their school socials. Diary, I could just go on and on about our great Mothers' Club, cake sales, rummage sales, the scout banquet, socials, improvements here and there . . .

Sodafify Slfiqkfiqlzfs were many and varied this year, Diary. O accept, Heavenly Mother, our puny efforts to make our lives better, fuller, richer and more pleasing to Him! Yes, our Sodality record book is closed again for another year. Between its covers the skits, activities, meetings, conventions, all the little personal things we don't want to forget are written. Varied are the activities included in the past year's work, the distribu- tion of Catholic literature at the military camps, Christ- mas card sale, carol singing, baskets and toys for the poor, frequent visits, lenten drive, parties, little sacri- fices, First Fridays, Sodality Sundays, ..... onli ou B0 V6 QJHJMLJZS Diary? Boy, we dol Unfortunately due to the graduation and auitation ot most ot last year's leading musicians we did not have the crack marching outfit of former years. Our band was slow in rounding to form. Just when things seemed to be taking shape, our band master, W. A. Gill, Jr., transferred to another school, so the green and white musicians tailed to enter any state contest, l-lowever, better things are promised for next season.
