Foreword With the advent of civilization . man contrived various means by which he might reckon time and calculate the endless flow of days and nights. Such devices include the sundial, the hourglass, the mechanized clock, and the calen- dar. The importance of time, however, lies not in its passing, but , rather, in our acceptance and treatment of the opportunities it presents. The 1963 LOG is an account of four years spent at Aielrose High School — four years during which we have had numerous opportunities to learn and to achieve, to grow and to mature, to make friends and to enjoy one another, to have fun and to create irreplaceable memories. Yet, the conclusion of these happy years indicates a culmination neither of growth nor of experience; for as time marches on, so must we.
