Verna Liskolf, Dental Hygienirt I Clinic Ruth Colton, Nurre A typical day in our school clinic. If you have any aches, pains or ques- tions concerning health habits, don't hesi- tate to visit the school clinic. Our com- petent staff consisting of Dr. Roach, Mrs. Warren, Mrs. Colton, and the dental hy- gienist, Mrs. Liskoff, is trained and ex- perienced to give us proper care and advice. They not only try to cure our present physical illnesses, but also pre- pare us for good health in the future. Mrs. Lisl-:off gives dental checkups and cleans our teeth for future protection. Dr. Roach and his invaluable aids, Mrs. War- ren, and Mrs. Colton, have administered polio shots to those who desired them, and various other shots to college-bound stu- dents. Board Co-operative Educational Services Otto Stewart Superintendent The Orleans-Niagara B.C.E.S. Recognizing the need for a richer educational program for the schools of the State, Section 1958 of' the Education Law provided for the establishment of Boards of Cooperative Educational Services. The program under such a board can then furnish to the schools many special teaching services on a co-operative basis which ordinarily can not be afforded or at least gainfully employed. Historically speaking, the Board of Cooperative Educational Serv- ices now serving Orleans and a portion of Niagara County was first established for Orleans County in 1956. Later, effective February 1, 1958, the new supervisory district and Board of Cooperative Educa- tion Services for Orleans and Niagara Counties was established. Component districts comprising the present cooperative system include: Albion, Barker, Holley, Kendall, Lyndonville, Medina, and Royalton-Hartland Central schools. Otto J. Stewart was elected the first District Superintendent and Executive Ofiicer of the Board. Presently, special services include: Reading, Speech Correction, Psy- chology, Dental, Physical Education, Driver Education, Music, and Library. The central office for the Orleans-Niagara B.C.E.S. is lo- cated on the second floor of the Medina Public Library Building.
