VOCATIO AL Selecting the pattern The vocational subiects-shop, agriculture, and homemaking-help prepare many stu- dents for life after graduation. In shop, boys become proficient in the use of lathes, grind- ers, and other machines. They also learn the fundamentals of printing and ceramics. Agri- culture teaches many boys better farming methods by observation and actual experi- ence. UTURE URSES LUB Under the leadership of the school nurse, Mrs. Roberta Warren, the Future Nurses Club has visited several hospitals in Rochester, held a bake sale for the faculty, served at all the hospital building fund cam- paign dinners, and has assumed clinic duty. Although newly organized, the Future Teachers Club of America has had a tea to celebrate its founding and has had a speaker from Aus- tralia who discussed the educational standards there. Members have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with certain phases of teaching by helping various teachers in the school system. This club's purpose is to provide a place where students interested in teaching as a career can meet to discuss the profession and their aims in it.
