Later in the term Bill Schwarts joined their cluss, he was from Lewis and Clark in Spokane and Douglas Taylor entered from G:'angeville, Idaho. Starting the Sophomore year Oneta Stiller, Beverly Maynard, Jerry Barrett, Martha Stevens, Howard and Bill Reynolds joined the clus3. During the summer however we lost Howcrd Reynolds to the Army, Douglas Taylor to Central Valley, and Martha Stevens departed to Zillah, Washington. Then starting our Junior year very proud of t.io fact that we were now upper Classmen and didn't mind letting every one know the fact either. y;e gained another member for our class from Colorado, Jack Eaklor. We were quite busy in our Junior year with the Banquet and the Junior Prom. We sold candy, coke, and aid various things to raise money to pay for these affairs . Our Senior yeur ha3 been one of the happiest and busiest years in high school. Jerry Barrett departed from us bpt Bonnie Klaus from Reardon filled the vacancy. Then on the 28th of March, Jo Ann Larson left our rarks to become Mrs. Clarence Rider. f;e have enjoyed our association with the Juniors and hope they will forgive us for any misery we might have caused them because we really think they are a swell class. We would like to thank Mr. Irwin, our advisor, for all the tilings he has done for us and we really appreciate the way he has been patient with us,because we know that v.e have been a bit trying at times. It's been ten year since the claaa of 48 graduated and they are now holding a clas3 reunion. Darin the piat ten yet-rs a lot of things have happened and many changes have been made. As I glance around the room I see commander Bill Reynolds of the U. S. Navy and his wife Martha. Bill made quite a brilliant record for himself during th past years and is about to be promoted to Captain and given his own ship. 'Veil if it isn't Bonnie (Klaus) Scott and her husband Harold with‘the twins. Bonnie looks quite well in mink. It seems her husband made quite a large fortune in the automobile industry and even named a car after her, the new, super, Bonniemobile . Here comes Bill Schwartz and Glen Thiemens, still gay(but not quite so young) bechlors still-playing the field. After completing their brilliant careers with the Navy as Seamen 1st class, they have now opened several stores in Spokane and are known as the Two Swabbies . 'Veil os I live and breath, if it isn't the American Ambassador to Canada, Oneta (Stillar) cathcart and her husband Ron. Why I remomber when they met, th seniors were on aHHistorical Excursion to Nelson B. C. It seems they met at a dance and from the look on onetA's face, theirs has been a happy marriage. Why there's Dr. Mick Glasgow, he is now well known throughout the world fo his experiments with atomic power for peace time uses. It seems he has Just returned from Paris, where he held a conference with many other famous scientists. As I look at the place cards around the table, I seethe Eaklor trade mark . During the past years it seems Jack Eaklor has bocome quite successful in the printing business. I see that he and Marilyn are finally married for keeps. ( ‘e hope I) Nick Agostinelli, now famous on Broadway for his brilliant scting in the stage hit Clarence , has just announced his intentions of going abroad for the summer to rest up before returning to Broadway to play the lead in the new comeuy, Harvey . Struggling in is Jo Anne (Lurson) Rider with her husband Clnrcnce and six Little Riders , from Minnesota. Theirs h«3 been a very happy marriage it is plain to see. Last and finally, I see Beverly is still late for everything. I see that she and Tommy are happily married and are residing at Spokane Air Force Base. She is now teaching at the Nursery and there are two little Thomas's attending good old- M. L. High School. Well it is time for me to move on now. Since then the years have fairly flown by. V.hen we were handed our eighth gra .e diplomas v.e felt pretty proud of our selves and next fall wnen we really entered into our role as green frosh we fel even more proud although quite meek. As frosh we were lucky and got out of lnitia tlon. t A At the first of our sophomore year we were all elated to find that we were to! be given the privilege of Initiating the frosh for two whole days. On the night of the second day we gave them h oarty and invited the whole high school. Our class officers for the year were: Marlene Freauff, President; Jim Miller Vice President; and June Lemley, Secretary. Mr. Y.'olden was our clas3 advisor. V.e started the year with twenty two students. During the second quarter we rainei a new member. Bob Smith of Cheney and lost an old member, Vincent Agostin-elll. Four of our members started in the first grade together. They are: Helen Schsler, Rose Mary Y.atson, Gloria Fuller ana Larry Larson. Now t: fc tne year is over we can look back end say we thoroughly enjoyed it. but most of us are looking forward to next year when we will oe uoper classmen.
