M. C. V. ' s PRESIDENT The Medical College of Virginia owes much to the leadership of Dr. R. Blackwell Smith, Jr., its fourth president. An alumnus of M.C.V. and a pharmacologist by profes- sion, Dr. Smith has held several governmental positions and has served as Dean of the School of Pharmacy. As evidenced by the number of professional, scientific, and honor- ary organizations in which he is active, his wel ' -rounded social and professional life makes him a valuable citizen as well as an able educator and a progressive leader.
