The day of graduation not only marks the realization of an ambition but the opening of broader horizons of learning and service. Education is a life-long process and the scope of our development and the breadth of our contributions to society often hinge on the ex- tent of acquisition of knowledge after these initial stages in our formal education. It is important, therefore, that young men and women of the calibre and promise you already have demonstrated will pursue their further careers with the same receptive minds that have made possible the attainment of your status as graduates.
