Medfield under the leadership of a new head coach. Bill Young, completed another unde- feated league schedule. The season had many high spots for the Warriors. The consistently outstanding performances of the players not only brought us this year ' s championship but also left us with the impression that next year another championship will come to Medfield. Will the monotony never cease? We hope not! Coach Rogers, Co-Capts. It gave way to the new. This year AAedfield under the coaching of George Ruggiero had its finest season for a long time if not its best ever. The team finished the season with an excellent record of 19 wins and 5 losses which included two victories in the Tech Tourney, one of which was the upset of Dover 69-67. In Tri-Valley competition AAedfield was 13-3 and brought home AAed- field ' s first basketball trophy for second place in the league. In Tech Tourney competition AAedfield went to the semi-finals before losing to Acton-Boxboro. The 1969-70 season had many highlights such as the scoring record of 96 points in one game, playing Nipmuc in the Boston Garden and qualify- ing for the Tech for the first time in nine years, but nothing is more exciting than the prospects of having teams possibly even better in the near future.
