Y A N . xy' 2 i P R Fourth Grade ........ 1950 WE'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER We remember the first mad stampede down the stairs, The breathless late arrivals, the examination scares, When a freshman was the low man on the totem pole, Small comfort that is was a temporary role. We recall that sophomore elation known as over-confidence Until confronted by world history, and algebra, and French. That was the year we lost our voices - when mighty Central fell. And we began to know how little we knew and wished we had learned to spell. As a junior yearling, the mists were clearing on never-never land, But it rained the night of the Junior Prom - we hated the weather man. Wfe played a part in a play - a clown in a gown - elected a Queen, Celebrated Sno-Day, there was no day without a major scene. It takes four years to make a senior out of a freshman, XVe know, And four years to earn our credits, our letters, our upper classman's glow.
