HERE THE BOYS ARE Brawn, looks, and athletic achievement- the keys to entering Varsity Club? Well, maybe, but not quite. According to Mr. Pat Eason, the real purpose of Varsity Club is to promote citizenship through athlet- ics. Among their activities were the schol- arship fund raiser and selling programs at football games. Spring plans included the Varsity Club Social and the Ugly Man Contest. Acting as a school service organization, the Active Boys' Club put on the annual Boys' Club Dance and kept the reader board up to date every week. In May, the boys put on the annual all-school outdoor track meet. Mr. Lee said they hoped to raise money and plant rhododendrons around the school. a 1 E YSUH IHIRST AWAY!
