TRIO Linda Werner, Dianne Horrocks and Bonnie Praeuner ACCOMPANIST Kathy Collins TILDEN-MEADOW GROVE MASS CONCERT On April 4th and 5th, 104 students from Tilden and Meadow Grove schools presented their Spring Concert. On April 4th, it was held in Meadow Grove and on April 5th, it was held in Tilden. Each small group presented one number. Accompanists were Debi Horrocks, Nancy Schulze, Bonnie Praeuner, and Carolee Dunivan. It was top musical entertainment. DISTRICT MUSIC CONTEST The District Music Contest was held at O'Neil, April 13th, with classes A,B, C, and D schools participating. Meadow Grove went as a class D school and did very well this year. Those which received a superior: Debi Horrocks (solo), Linda Werner (solo), Darla Horrocks (solo), triple trio, and trio. Those receiving an excellent: Darrel Schmidt (solo), Dianne Horrocks (solo), Diane Warnke (solo), girl's glee and mixed chorus. Kathy Collins (solo) and mixed ensemble received a good. SPORTS BANQUET AND PROM Queen Rosemary Novotny and King Larry Tegeler presided over the 1967 Sports Banquet and Prom. Their court consisted of Kathy Kinkle and Darrel Schmidt, first attendants; Karren Praeuner and Rodney Zeihmer, second attendants; JaNelle Horrocks and Michael Kuchar, third attendants; and Evelyn DeCamp and Terry Beed, fourth attendants. The crown bearers were Nancy Carr and Mark Smith. Dianne Horrocks presented Queen Rosemary with a dozen red roses and also gave gifts to both the king and queen. The 1966-67 Meadow Grove High School Sports Banquet and Prom was held Saturday, April 1 in the high school auditorium. The Pep Club decorated around the theme The Key to Success is Good Sportsmanship. Decorations were in red and white. Arches for the royalty to march through led to the stage on either side of the auditorium. The meal was prepared by the Pep Club Mother's and served by Loren Brandstetter, Janean Green, Ann Hummer, Gary Inness, Larry Inness, Beverly McClatchey, Bob Pratt, Kathy Pratt, Jill Smith, Mary Jo Sullivan, Lynn Tegeler, Cyndee Novotny, and Carol Werner. The welcome was given by Rosemary Novotny, who also presented Miss Gatewood with a gift from the Pep Club. The Master of Ceremonies was Garry McIntosh. Debi Horrocks sang Georgie Girl ; and was accompanied by Darla Horrocks. Volleyball letters were presented by Mr. Victor Graham. Football, Basketball, and track letters were presented by Mr. Bob Rohlfsen. Pep Club letters were presented by Miss Gatewood. The trio, consisting of Linda Werner, Dianne Horrocks and Bonnie Praeuner and accompanied by Kathy Collins, sang Yellow Bird . The cheerleaders who will represent Meadow Grove at the Elkhorn Valley High School for the next year term were announced by Miss Nancy Gatewood. They will be Linda Werner, Dianne Horrocks, and Darla Horrocks. The Chants played for the prom afterwards which was attended by Meadow Grove High School students and their dates. The Theme Royalty
