SNEAK DAY Sixteen seniors plus Mr. Steiner and Mr. Hummer left April 19, 1967 at 6:00 A.M. for Omaha, Nebraska, on Sneak Day. The group stopped at Al's Cafe in Fremont for breakfast. Their first stop in Omaha was the Crossroads, where they stopped till noon. For lunch they ate at the House of Chin, a Chinese restaurant where they had a variety of Chinese foods. In the afternoon they attended A Man For All Seasons at the Cooper Theater in downtown Omaha. A steak dinner was enjoyed at Marchio's an Italian restaurant. They attended the very colorful Ice Follies in the evening, which everyone enjoyed very much. The group arrived home at 2:00 A. M. very tired and happy. Those attending were: Steve Sparr, Rosemary Novotny, Darrel Schmidt, Larry Tegeler, JaNelle Horrocks, Royce Lyall, Rickey Fogleman, Terry Beed, Katherine Kinkle, Michael Kuchar, Richard Sparr, Karren Praeuner, Evelyn DeCamp, David Rosenburg, Rodney Zeihmer, Garry McIntosh, Mr. Steiner and Mr. Hummer. GRADUATION Baccalaureate services were held on May 14, 1967. Rev. Douglas Jones delivered the address What Do I Expect Of Me? Darrel Schmidt sang You'll Never Walk Alone and triple trio sang I’ll Walk With God. Kathy Collins played the processional and recessional. Commencement exercises were held on May 18, 1967. The Salutatorian and Valedictorian gave the Commencement addresses. Mr. Charles Hummer presented the Salutatorian award to Kathy Kinkle and the Valedictorian and Regents scholarship to Larry Tegeler. Larry also received three scholarships to Nebraska Wesylan. Mr. Hummer gave small awards to those who had perfect attendance. Those Seniors receiving this award were Evelyn DeCamp and Darrel Schmidt. Superintendent Graham presented the class of 1967 and Mr. Wayne Tegeler, a member of the School Board, presented them with their diplomas. The Freshman-Sophomore girls had a vocal selection entitled Graduation Day . Rev. K. F. Wentzel gave the Invocation and Benediction. The processional and recessional were played by Diane Warnke.
