Athletic Sanquet On March 17, the annual Trojan Athletic Banquet was held in the High School Gymnasium. The gym was decorated in the school colors, red and white. The throne was on the north side of the room. The west wall was decorated with profiles of the lettermen on a back ground of black paper. An eight foot Trojan decorated the east wall. The main part of the evening was the crowning of the Queen and King. The Queen was Lynda Black and the King was David DeCamp. The Queen and King were attended by three attendants each. Student Manager was Theron Jensen. Theron Jensen was the toastmaster. Donna Rae played the processional and recessional for the coronation. Entertainment was furnished by the Senior trio, and Mrs. Ankeny. We also enjoyed a movie of the Nebraska and Oklahoma football game. Mr. Merklinger spoke in recognition of the girl’s volleyball team. We closed the evening by singing “Cheer Cheer” accompanied by Mr. Sawyer on his cornet. Mothers of the pep club members prepared a very good meal. Seventh and eighth grade girls served the meal. The Pep Club Banquet was sponsored by Miss McNamee. fiuKL i SeMi i cutquet The Junior class gave us Seniors of ’60 a beautiful banquet on May 12, 1960 in the school auditorium.
