The Meadow Grove Trojanettes completed their 1956—57 season with an 8 win and no loss record to win the Conference Championship. The girls defeated Pagein the Clearwater Invitational Tourney to take third place. High scorer for the 56—57 Trojanettes is Joyce Duchow with 95 points. f our girls will be lost from the volleyball through graduation, They are Joyce Duchow, Rebeca Hamley, Carole Horrocks, and Lorna Linse. The girls played three non-conference games. The first was with Ewing at Meadow Grove. The second was a rematch at Ewing. The Trojanettes won these matches. The third game was with Tilden at Tilden where MG11S team lost the only game of their season with a score of 18—25. Second How: John Denny (student manager), Eddie Kerry, Leon Praeuner, Arlyn Suckstorf, Larry Wynn (student manager). Third How: Coach Charles Anderson, Leslie Sparr, Hoger Suckstorf, Larry Berg, Larry Linse, Doran Horn. After much hard work and team spirit the Trojans tied with Elgin for the Co-Championship of the Sandhill-Gateway Conference. Of the eight games played Meadow Grove was victorious six times losing only to Humphrey and Elgin; the former being a non-conference game. Larry Berg won top honors for making 25 touchdowns which gained the Trojans 154 points. Jerry Lewis made 2 touchdowns and 7 successful place kicks which earned him 26 points. Arlyn Suckstorf made a sum of 25 points as a result of 4 touchdowns and 1 extra point. Meadow Grove’s grand total for the season tallied 257 points, while the opponents were restrained to a mere 81 points. On the Trojan squad there are five seniors: Larry Berg, Bob Odland, Jerry Lewis, Larry Linse, and Hobert Waechter. Football Results Meadow Grove 6.................
