fraphtcu, Sitting on the stage of M.G.H.S. on the night of commencement, listening to the speaker, my mind began to wander and I suddenly found nyself in the year 1962. It seemed as though I was in an Airplane, tut being a very odd looking plane, I began investigating. Just as I got up someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned a-round to face Lois Brown, dressed in a stewardess uniform. I asked her what sortof machine I was on and she said nA flying Saucer” and this is our first trip to the moon. I was so shocked that I fainted and when I woke I found myself on board a very beautiful yacht. I looked around tut there seemed to be no one on board, yet we were moving. Just as I started to take a step the boat tilted a little and tumped into something so that I fell to the floor. It was then I saw someone coming toward me. Much to my surprise I recognized Bob Dahl. Bob told me that he just couldn t manage his father s farm. He always had to get up too early in the morning to milk the cows. Just then there was another jolt and this time when I awoke I found myself in a beautiful Concert Hall. I heard someone singing and then I saw Gerald Van Gundy standing on the large stage, but was I ever surprised when I recognized the song he was singing as nI m a Lonely Little Petunia in an Cfaion Patch.” When Gerald finished his song I rushed outside, having heard a police siren, and just barely recognized Dick Werner as he whizzed by in the Chiefs Car. Wonder who he s after this time? I read in the papers that he had caught the gang that was stealing his cigars from his desk. It seems someone set a rat trap and caught the b—rats. All the excitement being over for the time being I began to walk down the street. I was deep in thought as I crossed the street so I didn t notice the light was red and not green. Much to everyone s surprise I made it to the other side of the street. I noticed a cute little tuilding nearly and being of the curious kind I went in. There were two or three richly-dressed women in this store and sitting £ a desk at the back of the room was Mabel Pfisterer. I walked back to talk to her and she said she was a dress designer for a large company in Hollywood. She also told me that Duane Chittenden was a Professor at a College in France. She said that JoAnne Averv was singing with Harry James band taking Betty Grable s place and doing a good job of it, too. Just then another customer came in and I left. I noticed the time of day, which was 6 p. m. so I went into a cafA named ”Jo s Palace,” As I stepped in I saw Jo Ann Ferry standing behind the counter. Jo said she owned this cafA and one in San Francisco. It was a beautiful place and I could see why she named it the Palace. Finishing my supper I noticed on the television set a girl that looked very familiar. Then the announcer introduced her as Donna Pierce. Tonight she was to start her first trip around the world. Just as I was leaving, about ten women came in and one of them I recognized as Opal Pollard. She told me she was a teacher now and they were having a convention. Just then I woke to hear my name being called to walk up and receive my diploma.
