M G H S 1946 Basket Ball Basketball season found the Trojans with eight lettermen, namely R. Werner, I). Schurman, Ferry, A. Werner, Pugh, Weerts, McClatchey Coach Lee’s excellent instruction led the boys on to a pretty successful season, with seven wins out of eighteen games. Mrs. Gaskill The MGHS Pep Club attended every game and was very happy that the Trojans won quite a few games this season. Pep rallies were held before most of the games. The group was attired in attractive uniforms consisting of red jumpers and white long-sleeved blouses. The cheerleaders were uniformed in white jumpers with white long-sleeved blouses and a large red “M” on their backs. The girls enjoyed popping and selling pop corn. In this way, they earned enough money to give the basketball boys a luncheon and show treat. Coronation Jen Collins and Jim Ferry were crowned Queen and King of the Trojans at a coronation ceremony, April 9. The attendants were Myra Hauge, Donna Lenz, Gladys Kuntze, June Dahl, Rubee Collins, Vondalee Smith, Darrell Schurman, Bill Lewis, Bob Werner, Milton Pugh, Arnold Werner and Albert Lewis.
