xx , x V JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY Twenty-seven students boarded the ship Graduation bound for the ports of Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior and Senior. Freshman bemg our first port and Senior our last, We started from the pon of Freshman but before we got under Way we chose.the following' as officers to guide us on the long journey to Senior . They were: President, Willard Wegnrg Vice-President, Timothy Terry, Sec. and Treas., Darvin Kohl, and Sergeant at Arms, Lucille Lewis. On board our ship we enjoyed various parties under the sponsorship of Mr. Quiller. Before we neared our next point we left Donald Zierkie and Billy Hash at different destinations. But just around the bend at Battle Creek we picked up Velma Clemens. We finally reached our next port Sophomore with our seamen no longer green as they had been on our first trip. Here Bob Cline and Darold Skeels joined our ranks. Before leaving port we chose the fol- lowing to guide us to our next port: Pres Eileen Berg V Pres., Donna Weikg Sec.-Tr., Pauline Schilling. We again enjoyed some parties under the able sponsorship of Mr. Andrews Before we had progressed far we dropped Darold Skeels and Velma Clement at Battle Creek, but Jay Wilson joined us at Milton Iowa 9, Having braved the seas for another year, we docked at port Junior where we were to begin a very busy year. We noticed that our enroll- ment had decreased two members, Cecil White and Donald Carpenter. Before pulling anchor we chose the following officers: Pres Jay Wilson V Pres., Donna Weikg Sec.,-Tr., Letha Buffingtdnu They also proved worthy of their offices as had previous officers. During the trip vse had many enjoyable parties under the sponsor- ship of Miss West and Miss Anderson. On sea we displaved our talent in the play, Deacon Dubbs, under the able direction of Miss West and Miss Anderson. The play cast included Twila Warnke, Letha Buffington, Pauline Schilling, LaVona Pugh Dolly Lewis Jerry Cloyd, Willard WVegner, Harold Cornett, Darvin Kohl and Joseph Schmid. We also gave a J mior-Senior banquet which was an event to be long remembered by all Juniors and Seniors. We have in our midst athletes, vocalists and dramatists who all have promising futures Now just beyond the waves lays our last port Senior which we hope to reach at the end of 1942. May the rest of our faithful seamen finish the remainder of our trip together. -Dolly Lewis. t 1 X 5 S L5 .- rj sk ix . .
