Corresponding Secretary Math Club Society of Physics Students Indian Insight Dorm Council - Vice President Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges is an organization which seeks to discover and honor those students who are outstanding in scholarship. in participation and leadership in academic and extracur- ricular activities and service to the college, and potential for future achievement. To be eligible, a student must be registered at McMurry College as a full-time student (or completing the last year of a degree which requires fewer hours than a full-time load), must meet minumum grade point standards set by the school (3.0), must be expected to receive a degree be- tween the dates of September 1988 and August 1989, and must meet other criteria established by the faculty com- mittee. Nominating forms and a list of known possible can- didates are sent to members of the faculty and the ad- ministration. The list of possible candidates is also reviewed by hall directors and members of MSG to suggest students who might have been overlooked. Each possible candidate is mailed a vita sheet requesting information on activities, honors, projects, etc. Vita sheets of nominees are reviewed for qualifications and given point evaluations by the Associate Dean of Students. Nomi- nations and vita sheets, with points, are forwarded to the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee is comprised of Student Serv- ices Committee members They may select no more than 37 students for inclusion. The committee may elect to choose fewer than the quota if desired. After the com- mittee has had a chance to look over the candidates and has discussed the individuals, they select the students to be nominated. The Associate Dean of Students sends the nominations to the national office of Who's Who. After the candidates are accepted, they are notified by mail. Who's Who — 29
