McMurry Howard Payne •:vr. The Howard Payne University Yel- lowjackets were the guests of the In- dians for the Homecoming Game. The braves were painted and ready to play, but Howard Payne had other plans for the Indians. Howard Payne went up 7-0 late in the first quarter on a short drive with the wind at their backs. The Yel- low jackets then increased their lead to 14-0 one minute later, following an interception at the McMurry 39- yardline. The Indians came back to 14-7, but would not come closer. The Yellowjackets led 14-7 at the half, and 28-14 in the end. Homecoming — 1S

Michael Swanson: One of a Kind Mr. Michael Swanson originally ioined the Mi Murry faculty in the tall of 1966 as an Instructor of Mathematics. By 1970. however, he had taken on the title of Director °f Computer Services. Mr. Swanson has spent endless hours working with the McMurry computer system. He is the person responsible ,l r setting up and maintaining accounts and scientific Programming as well as countless other tasks. He also converted the registration for classes to computer, whereas before the process was done by hand. Mr. Swanson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1961 from Texas Tech College where he also obtained a Master of Arts degree in 1965. During the time he is not working at the si hool, Mr. Swanson is involved in activities at tlmwood West Unit- ed Methodist Churih. In addition, he enjoys playing the trombone in both the Abilene Community Band anil the Dave Adams Orchestra. Because of the many hours he has so unselfishly given to the people ot Mi Murry College, the TOTI M Staff is pleased to dedicate the 1988-89 TOTIM to Mr. Mu hael Swanson. Dedicatee 17
