CAP scores were improving, and writing skills were a number one pri- ority in the English department. Electives were strong and the qual- ity of teaching was high LJ fl i W, X WM' My The office stan' was very supportive of school programs and devised new ones to help combat the drop-out rate. Teachers were constantly changing their mode of instruction in order for the students to achieve his highest level of success. Students were introduced to many forms of study tools so that the initial IMPACT of college classes would not be such a shock. Personnel support was always there to provide the best surround- ings possible for each Highlander. .
