H ' h F F 19 , ar, ast The Varsity track team was very successful in the prestigious meets they entered. Highlanders qualih'ed for the Fresno Bee Relays in eight events. Freshman Katie Abbott had an IMPACT across the low hurdles as she was one ofthe top hurdlers in the valley. Outstanding performances dur- ing the season were given by Cin- dy Mitchem 1111, Mike Dedman 1121, Keith Guilloijy 1111, and Greg Donson 1121. The under classmen were always busy or- ganizing themselves and trying to live up to the senior's expectations. This year's freshmen acyuste quickly to the pace. They came i ready to learn and get into the lif style of a high school student. For the juniors and sophomores this year was one step closer to be- coming a senior. A goal of all under- classmen was to reach that wonderful senior life. Underclassmen have a great IM- PACT on any school. They are re- sponsible for a lot that happens on campus and for the future of McLane. To them was entrusted the liveliness of clubs, activities, and all the other things that keep a school going. d
