Sports W X. his year all McLane 's sports teams were out to bring pride back to the Red and White. Some of the highlights of the year was the varsity football team 's upset win over 6th ranked Edison for home- coming. The freshmen football team also beat the Tigers for their first winl in three years. The girls varsity vol-l leyball team won their Hrst league game in two years. Having a direct IMPACT on the McLane's sports teams was the new 2.0 G.P.A. requirement. It was raised from 1. 75 to assure that athletes were also good students. Overall, the '87 year was a good one for all Highlander teams. The dedicated athletes again showed the rest of the league who was reallyifl. A
